Congratulations to our 2022-2023 Petra Karr Scholarship Recipient!

Carly is currently studying at the University of Idaho and is minoring in Musical Theatre. The most recent production she was a part of was The Mystery of Edwin Drood in the role of Rosa Bud (pictured below). She hopes to continue participating in theatre throughout college "and long after, in any way I can, since I really do think it is one of the best gifts of this world."

She had auditions recently for The Play that goes Wrong!

2021-2022 Recipient: Ella

Ella Newborn is an 18-year-old actor from the greater Seattle area. They graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2021, and now attend Western Washington University where they are planning to major in theatre with a concentration in performance. Ella would like to thank the Petra Karr ACT1 Endowment Fund board for their funding of the scholarship, and for the educators and friends that have helped them in pursuing their dream of becoming an actor.
