Virginia started with ACT1 when her friend Petra asked her to audition for Nunsense. After Nunsense she appeared in Dead Man's Cell Phone, Fantasticks, The Drowsy Chaperone and Nunsense II. Virginia's role with ACT1 expanded quickly and included email marketing, box office management and more. Currently, Virginia is acting as the ACT1 Board Treasurer and President. Outside of ACT1, Virginia has been an adult educational instructor and program director and an operations manager for an investment advisory firm and an elementary school librarian. Currently she is enjoying retirement.
Megan Noborikawa
Megan volunteered as a backstage hand for costumes at ACT1 once and hasn't left since. Her work as a backstage hand eventually grew into a designer role, and is now a board member and Communications Chair. She is honored to support artists through this endowment fund.
Jessie Mulrine
Jessie Mulrine was formerly the Arts Management Intern at ACT 1. Jessie has been working with ACT 1 since 2007, acting, volunteering, managing, and now working as a board member and Vice President. Jessie is also a mixed-media artist enjoying embroidery and illustration. One of their favorite ACT 1 shows is Seven Clever Pirates.
Emily Mayberry
Emily Mayberry was introduced to ACT 1 by a friend in 2012 and hasn't left since. She has risen from scarecrow dancer to Stage Management and Production Intern. She has been a part of multiple shows acting or set painting or running the spot light, but her favorite part of the production process is calling the show and seeing it all come to life. ACT 1 has been a second family and she couldn't be more grateful to be a part of it.
Terri Heckroth
Terri was a co-worker of Petra's in the 1990s and has been a friend of ACT 1 since its inception. Terri joined the board in 2024. Terri was a youth minister for many years and is currently retired and busy spending time with her grandchildren.
Chris Karr
Chris met Petra on the set working with Puget Sound Musical Theater. They married and collaborated for 27 years on- and off-stage. He was the Tech Director for ACT1 Theatre but primarily works as a Journeyman with Auburn Mechanical in the service department with the Local 32 Commercial Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
